Today was a holiday, so I woke up later than usual. I enjoyed eating a very satisfying breakfast with chocolate, ice cream, and cookies on a waffle. After that, I went to a nearby shopping center to buy souvenirs for family and friends! There were so many foods and snacks that I don’t see in Japan, so I bought a bag full of them as gifts. After enjoying some shopping, I made pudding, a dish commonly made in Africa, with my host mother. There were a few a little accident, but it was delicious and fun to make! For dinner, we had a BBQ with my host mother’s parents and their friends. Dinner tasted even better when eaten with a large group. Since I only have a few days left in Australia, I want to enjoy the remaining days to the fullest.

今日は休日だったので、いつもより遅く起きました。チョコレートやアイスクリーム、クッキーをのせたワッフルという、とても満足感のある朝食を楽しみました。その後、家族や友人へのお土産を買うために近くのショッピングセンターへ行きました。日本では見かけない食べ物やお菓子がたくさんあったので、それらを袋いっぱいに買ってお土産にしました。買い物を楽しんだ後、ホストマザーと一緒に、アフリカでよく作られる料理であるプリンを作りました。少し小さなハプニングもありましたが、とても美味しく、作るのも楽しかったです。夕食は、ホストマザーのご両親やその友人たちと一緒にバーベキューをしました。大人数で食べる夕食は、より一層美味しく感じられました。オーストラリアで過ごせる日も残りわずかなので、残りの日々を思い切り楽しみたいと思います。

Since today was Sunday, my host family took me shopping. First, we went to a souvenir shop.It was a small shop, but they sold a lot of interesting things.There were calendars with beautiful pictures of animals and metal insect figurines, among other things.It was so much fun just to look around, it really excited me.I wasn't confident in my English, but I'm glad I was able to shop. Next I went to the supermarket. My sister asked me to buy some tea, so I bought several kinds.I also bought some snacks and juice. I'm really looking forward to eating it. I went to the beach at the end of today.It wasn't crowded, so it was very comfortable. I took pictures and walked on the beach. The sea breeze felt so nice.After dinner, I watched TV with my host family. I'm happy that I'm starting to understand the news by watching it every day.

今日は日曜日だったのでホストファミリーがショッピングに連れて行ってくれた。最初に土産屋に行った。こぢんまりした店だったが、興味深いものがたくさん売っていた。綺麗な生き物のカレンダーやメタリックな昆虫の飾りなどがあった。見ているだけでも楽しくてワクワクした。英語に自信はなかったが、問題なく買い物できてよかった。つぎにスーパーマーケットに行った。妹にお茶を頼まれていたので、何種類か買った。他にもお菓子や飲み物も買った。食べるのが楽しみである。最後に海に行った。混み合ってもなかったのでとても快適だった。写真を撮ったり砂浜を歩いたりした。潮風がとても気持ちよかった。夕ご飯の後にホストファミリーとテレビを観た。毎日観ているためか、ニュース番組が少しずつ理解できるようになっていて嬉しかった。
